How to make a pouch: 1: Cut two (2) pieces of fabric (one outer fabric & one lining). Interfacing: can be ironed on before you cut out the fabric or after, the easiest way would be to iron the interfacing before cutting out the fabrics. 2: Iron under 5/8" on both straight ends of the fabric, this step must be done on both pieces of the fabric. Then sandwich in the zipper before the outer fabric & lining, then pin in place. Open up the zipper and top stitch 1/4" to 3/8" from zipper teeth. 3: With a scrap of fabric measuring 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" piece of fabric, fold in half and iron then turn under 1/2" and iron again. Then top stitch the sides. The finished tab should measure 3 1/2" x 3/4". 4: Turn the pouch in-side-out and attach the tab and pin in place. Then sew a seam allowance measuring 1/2". Trim the seam allowance down to 1/4" and attach the bias tape. Wrap the bias strip around the raw edges and top stitch close to the edge. Repeat on other end. 5: Now its time to sew the four (4) sides of the pouch. Pinch the corners out until you have the raw edges touching, then pin in place. Sew a seam allowance measuring 1/2". Trim the seam allowance down to 1/4" and attach the bias tape. This time fold the ends of the bias tape under to get a clean edge. Wrap the bias strip around the raw edges and top stitch close to the edge. Repeat on the remaining sides.
